    identical

Always keep the shrine room where the altar is placed clean and quiet. Remove your shoes before entering, and never recline in front of the altar with your feet pointing at it. Always be respectful and speak in calm tones in front of the altar. Don’t show the altar to anyone who would not be respectful of it. Don’t allow animals in front of the altar or in the shrine area. Remember that this is a place for you to connect with the divine Dao, the source of all that is.
This shrine has brought our family pride,
    good
    fortune, and happiness.
(NOTE THAT THE STATUE IS NOT INCLUDED)
    The
    Qing dynasty
    , officially the
Great Qing dating from 1644 to 1911.
We feel very lucky to have found this lovely work of art during our travels,
and very honored to own it.
Purchased in Zhuhai, China, 20 years ago,
    F
ound it among other unique artifacts, and had it shipped to out home in the states
We were told that the shrine itself is an antique and handmade for a family Circa 1850.
We commissioned the stand to be custom made in China for the shrine. Stand is very well made and sturdy. It was constructed in China by a Chinese artisan, before shipping it to us. The stand is made of the same wood and fits so perfect, that it looks like one piece.
(See last photo of the way we discovered the shrine.)
Shrine Height, including the stand is 64 inches (about 5' 4" tall)
Shrine Width, from tip to tip of each dragon is 28 inches
The Stand itself is 33 inches high

Wood Roof tiles: (hundreds) seem to be carved in section.
A small section fell off and we had it repaired.
    Dragons:
Each of the 8 Dragon Heads on the roof are each i
    ntricately
hand carved. They may look identical but no two are exactly alike. They are 4 inches tall
The other 8 unique Dragons are carved full dragons guarding the outside the the shrine. They are hand carved  so accurate and precise that they are actually movable pedestals, that can be turned by hand, around and move up and down. They are 9 inches each.
Inside: The shrine has what I call a walkway that goes around the entire shrine, with 8 entrances nicely carved and leading to the main area. Each of those octagonal areas leading into the entrance to the main area are 4 inches wide. (see photos)
The main flat area originally was used for incense or candles (top of the inside of the roof shows minor scorched marks. But, you have to look deep inside and up with a flashlight to see it. The height inside from floor to ceiling is 14 inches.
Lighting:  To add drama to this lovely shrine, we purchased an electric light and placed it in the middle as shown in photos. The light fixture and blue light will be included. Of course, any light bulb can replaced with
the blue bulb, or not used at all.
    Condition:
