This custom handmade pendant is made from authentic Mother of Pearl antique gambling counters that were used over 250 years ago!  Handcrafted in China from the oyster shell during the Ching Dynasty.  The gambling counters were used by British nobility and royalty hence royal crest and initials adorn many pieces.  The many shapes represent the different monetary values used while gambling, yes they actually used these for gambling! Others pictures depict people at work, play, meditation and many have animals and flowers all representing the daily lives of the Chinese at that time.
Our family has been in the gambling chip trade for over 40 years.  We have literally  made over thousands of counters into exquisite jewelry and have sold world wide.  This is our newest, simple very affordable line so that everyone can enjoy these unique, beautiful, historic pieces of fine art jewelry.
This pendant is a full gambling counter with carving on both sides and measures 1 3/4 inch in diameter.  It is set in a brass frame with brass chain that measures 14 inches.
