Antique DIETZGEN Land Survey transit.
The transit is in emasculate condition and would be hard pressed to find one in better condition.
Includes original heavy duty wood box and original skeleton key that still works to lock/unlock box.
The transit is in very nice condition with very little signs of wear. Doesn’t appear to have been used much.
Shows some patina/wear to end protective eye cap. There is a larger sun shade version as well that is included.
Everything seem to operate as it should. All knobs/parts move as they should. No cracks or chips to glass cover over compass.
The wood storage box has just the right amount of patina! Carry handle is securely intact. All corners have brass protective plates.
Will be listing several more pieces of this nature. Came from a estate in central Indiana. This guy took great care of his items.
