I am listing up for auction an Authentic Civil War Confederate CSA Cast Iron Bullet Mold for a confederate Rifle Musket recovered from the confederate Army of Northern Virginia camp at the Battle of Gettysburg!
This bullet mold is 100% original and was hand made in Richmond Virginia for the war effort. These were all handmade, and belonged to the army of northern Virginia at the time. This was recovered by the Union Soldiers after the confederate retreat and made its way to a private collection In Massachusetts.
This has not been restored in ANY way. They are in the same condition it has been for over 150+ years! Truly original and a real ONE OF A KIND piece!! These are 100% unique. It would be absolutely impossible to upgrade on this. This is literally a museum piece. If you go to Gettysburg and you go to the museum, you will see these on display. This is your once in a lifetime chance to get a true museum piece!
This a SOLID piece, not some cheap reproduction like all of the others being sold on eBay. This is the real deal with history!
This was part of my fathers civil war collection. He was a HUGE Civil War historian and taught at several universities. Please see the pictures for condition and details. I had this looked at even at the Confederate Relic Room here in Columbia South Carolina! They asked if I wanted to donate it but we need money for his estate expenses right now and I have already donated many of his other items. This ships from right here in South Carolina!
My father purchased this at the world renowned Civil War Relic store In Gettysburg Pennsylvania. My father paid over 0.00 for it over 20+ years ago!
This was one of his absolute most prized possessions. He had it on the mantle in his living room with a light on it.
