THIS battle damaged horseshoe was DUG BY ME AND MY HOST ON A RELIC DIG NEAR EAST CAVALRY FIELD IN GETTYSBURG.
▪️NOT DUG ON PARK PROPERTY ,was dug on property near the park with permission.

MAKES A VERY INTERESTING DISPLAY PIECE FROM THAT BATTLE.
Only lightly cleaned with toothbrush. Still has Gettysburg soil on it.

I was fortunate to have been invited back in 2002, to dig with a friend that had permission for us to search on land near East Cavalry Field in Gettysburg.
▪️ These relics were not dug on park property, but on privately owned land with permission to search.

I’m thinning down my 50 + years collection of digging and collecting War Relics. Time to let somebody else enjoy the relics as I have through the years.
Wife & I are retired now and downsizing, she says my 50+ years of digging and collecting war relics must go, so I guess its time to let someone else enjoy them now.
