For your consideration is this Dorset-Cheery Chintz Erphila Teapot with Lid & Tea Tile in excellent used condition as follows: Pre-owned Unknown vintage – possibly 1940’s or earlier Dorset-Cheery Chintz Erphila Teapot with lid & tea tile Porcelain Pink, blue, rust floral on an off-white background & gold trim Bottoms marked: Dorset-Cheery Chintz, Est. 1886, Erphila, Germany The teapot bottom is incised with the numbers 156/2 (or 756/2) The interior of the teapot has holes pierced at the spout for the purpose of straining tea leaves from the brew Teapot is 4 ½” tall without lid (6” tall with lid), 9 ¼” handle to spout; 6” side to side; tea tile is 7” diameter Remarkably good condition considering their age – Close critical inspection revealed a few utensil marks on the tea tile that could not be captured in photographs; teapot lid shows crazing inside & out (SEE PHOTOS); moderate staining inside the teapot (SEE PHOTOS); gold trim is intact on all three pieces; no chips, breaks or repairs Please Check My Store for matching pieces (while they last).
