Dug Nice Buckle w/ Leather From Longstreet Campsite- Gordonsville, Va.

Here's another nice brass buckle with leather, the second of two we found near each other in one of General Longstreet's camps near Gordonsville, Va. Soem of the South's most legendary troops were camped here, including the 4th and 5th Texas. It's unusual to find anything with leather. The ground has to be just right, and then, of course, there are the animals, many of which love leather. Only a few make it to the relic case. I've preserved this one as much as possible, and it would look in your collection. Plmk if I can provide any further info or photos.
