    Up for sale is a set of 4 cereal bowls in the signature pattern,
    OISEAUX DE PARADIS
    by Gien, the renowned French faience manufacturer.
    The pattern features a background of ivory earthenware decorated with flowers, leaves and a prominent, central motif - a colorful
    “Bird of Paradise
    .”  The rim is scalloped and ringed in blue.
    I bought these in the town of Gien in France c. 1993, as part of a dinner service.  I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Gien, but it is time to “let go.”
    The cereal bowl opening is 6¾”.  The bowl is 1¾” tall and the base diameter is 2¾”.  The underside is hallmarked with the Gien
    Oiseaux de Paradis

    The bowls are in good used condition – no chips, cracks or crazing. Some stray marks on the undersides - part of the manufacturing process.
