    Description

Lot of original unused Civil War Period medicine bottle labels.  NOS, new old stock, unused surplus.  Nice variety of types and sizes.  They all have the expected yellowing from age but no tears, rips or damage.  Some have their original glue to the backs.  I bought a bunch of these years ago from a couple who found these in an old property they had just purchased and luckily had the frame of mind to save them and not throw them away.  Records show that the Brown Druggist, Pharmacy, Apothecary of Hannibal
    Missouri
went out of business ca. 1859.  Perfect for the Civil War bottle collector since most period bottles have no labels.  I personally framed a variety of them and displayed them near my Civil War bottles.
