Description
For sale is a Tivo Premiere 4 DVR (Model TCD750500) which has been upgraded with a 3TB WD hard drive.Instead of 75 HD recording hours on its original drive, you now have 429 HD hours or 3,749 SD hours available for recording. It has 4 TUNERS and is in excellent condition with minor wear and blemishes.
Most noticeable is on some keys of one of the 2 remote controls included (see pics).
Pictures from the box show all the great features of the Premiere 4 model.
You will need a Cablecard from your cable provider and TIVO service to use this unit. It has been reset to factory settings ready for you to setup.
If you buy a used Tivo DVR without a transferrable service, there is little you can do with it.
Tivo has stopped selling their service for Tivo DVRs older than the Roamio model.
The service is .95 per month if you could buy it.
Lifetime service is 9.
It would take over 6 years and 6 mo @ .95 to pay for that.
This DVR has a .95 PER MONTH SERVICE and I have authorization to transfer the service to the new owner. After the sale I will provide the case number for the new owner to call Tivo and transfer the service.
It will only take a couple of minutes.
Included in this sale are all the things shown in the pictures: Quick Start and Operators manuals, 2 Remote Controls w/batteries, power cable, and a Tivo WIFI adapter in case you do not have Ethernet available.
I have also included the original 500GB hard drive from this unit before upgrade. I kept it because it would be needed to replace the hard drive in case of catastrophic drive failure.
It can be copied to a new drive and updated from there.

With multiple Tivo DVRs, you can see and play the recordings on other Tivos over your network. This is a great box and works perfectly.
It currently has a problem on my account where it changes its name from "Master Bedroom" to "DVR 3AB0" at the time of monthly billing.
Tivo support is working on this problem and say that I am only one of many who has it.
I have 4 boxes so, while it is distracting, it is only a minor problem.
If this will be your only Tivo, you would not notice.
It happens even when this DVR is powered down and offline, so the problem lies within their server programs.
I also have a Bolt doing exactly the same thing (different names).
It may or may not do the same after it goes on your account,
but I have to disclose it to a new owner. I will also provide the case number for the problem to you so you can follow their progress,
should your account have the problem too.
