By 1942 all new production of Disney's Mickey Mouse Watches ceased with the onset of the United States involvement in World War II. The resurgence of the popular Mickey Watch was promoted by US Time which by '46 had all but absorbed the Ingersoll-Waterbury Clock Company while still continuing to display the Ingersoll brand on the new lozenge shaped Mickey Mouse Watch, which was now designed without the second hand.
The stylized Mickey was dropped in favour of a more modern Mickey image, the face no longer printed on paper but stamped on metal, displaying the Ingersoll brand above Mickey's head and WDP below his right foot. The back plated was stamped US Time and the wrist band supplied was a red vinyl/leather composite.
