Vintage ERPHILA CHINTZ PLATTER / cake plate - floral - made in Czechoslovakia
Lovely textured platter with bright floral chintz pattern in the center.
Textured outer ring
11" diameter
Estimated date of manufacture:  1920-1939
Very good condition, no chips or cracks
Gold has worn off on edge and around chintz pattern
Glaze has a tiny color spot from original manufacture in the textured area, barely noticeable, but indicated in photo with toothpick pointing to it.
Back stamp reads E&R Inc. ERPHILA  Est. 1886
Text "Made in Czechoslovakia" is stamped into the clay on back of plate.
The ERPHILA mark was used on items imported by Ebeling & Reuss of Philadelphia, a giftware firm that was founded in 1866 and imported porcelain from Germany, Czechoslovakia, Austria, Bohemia, and Frace.   The mark is a combination of the letters
E
and
R
(Ebeling & Reuss) and the first letters of the city, Phila(delphia).
